Roof fasteners

The roofs of steel buildings are fully exposed to the elements, so special precautions must be taken to prevent rust. The most common cause of rust in metal roofs is the screw. Although the finish (Galvalume coating or paint) protects the exposed surface of the panels, the screws penetrate this painted surface and make direct metal-to-metal contact. If the screws do not seal properly or develop rust themselves, they will cause the panels to rust.

STEELBUILDING.COM supplies only the highest-quality self-drilling screws for use with its roof panels. These deluxe fasteners have a zinc-aluminum alloy "Zac" head that cannot red rust. Its cupped design and SPDM sealing washer also protect the connection from moisture. Consequently, STEELBUILDING.COM offers a lifetime red-rust warranty on all roof fasteners.

This 40x50x16 has Light Stone walls, Desert Sand 3:12 pitch roof, Light Stone corner trim and jamb flashing, and Desert Sand trim.

This 40x60x10 has Hawaiian Blue PBR walls, a Bare GALVALUME® PBR roof with 3:12 pitch, and Polar White trim (no jamb flashing).

This 30x50x14 features PBA walls in Desert Sand with Fern Green trim and PBR roof in 3:12 pitch.
